I still do my shopping there, now living out in the country (Silverton just got too big!).Over the years I've worked with Stu in various capacities, attended many city council meetings, and really enjoyed Stu's dry and rapier-like wit.Even those with opposing views had to appreciate his logic and unique insight, and woe be unto those trying to use bombastic rhetoric or loud anger to get across their point, for laughter from the audience was a MUCH more effective tool in getting across sensible concepts when dealing with selfishly interested contestants for Silverton's operations.Very intelligent and socially apt, I just wish he had come out earlier, for he's clearly a lot happier now, and it's good to see him smiling nearly all the time now.I am thrilled that Silverton has elected one of the most competant people's representatives, and I am proud to call Silverton my home town, and to Stu I say YOU GO GIRL!

I lived in Silverton from 1981 to 2003, and consider it my hometown. It is very interesting to see the different perspectives that people have. The article was about how women can dress as men or women but men cannot dress as women. I did not know that there is a mayor that is a crossdresser.

I was reading a college paper online and I was clicking on the links of the people who commented and found this website.
