This blog was started as a place to share and inform on topics relating to life as a transgendered person. I am a heterosexual, happily married man, who lives two lives as it were. To my coworkers, family, and friends I’m a pretty average guy with a stable job, but for my wife and I my gender identity (not my sexual orientation mind you) is more complex. For example, to unwind I’d prefer to take a bubble bath, or paint my toenails over having a beer and watching Monday night football.

The transgendered community is widely misunderstood, with images and stereotypes being driven by our collective fear and insecurities, and fueled by the media. Real life as a TG individual is actually low-key, pretty “ordinary”, and very family-friendly. I hope that through my writing people will be able to have a glimpse into what life as a “closeted” transgendered guy is like, and hopefully gain something from it.
