The purpose of this blog is to give me a place to write about life as a transgendered person. I am a heterosexual, married man, who lives two lives as it were. To my coworkers, family, and friends I’m a pretty average guy, but for my wife and I my gender identity (not my sexual orientation mind you) is more complex. For example, to unwind I’d prefer to take a bubble bath, or paint my toenails over having a beer and watching Monday night football.

The transgendered community is widely misunderstood, with images and stereotypes being driven by fear and the media. Real life as a TG person is actually low-key, and family-friendly. I hope that through my writing people will be able to have a glimpse into what life as a “closeted” transgendered guy is like, and hopefully gain something from it.
